Allergies

We test for both environmental and food allergies at our Boulder, CO office. We differ from mainstream allergists in that we test for immediate (IgE) reactivity as well as delayed (IgG) reactivities. Often many food allergies are missed by conventional doctors because they are only testing the immediate reactions via a skin prick test. We use functional medicine labs to also test IgG reactions and often can find foods that are triggering an immune and inflammatory reaction in the body. Often patients give up gluten only to find that they have discovered only a piece of the puzzle as to why they are allergic and inflamed. Chronic food allergies can contribute to a multitude of ailments from inflammation and pain, to digestive issues to chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia, to name just a few conditions.
