What is The SIBO Journey Guide?

The SIBO Journey Guide is an online, self-study course created by Dr. Goldin that::

  • can be taken stand-alone as a self-study course or can be used for additional information when consulting with Dr. Goldin or any other physician
  • is for clients who already work with Dr. Goldin one-on-one and would like a deeper understanding of their condition (is a way clients can get a lot of Dr. Goldin's knowledge in a lower budget tier).
  • is for anyone struggling with SIBO/IBS
  • is for people who are already working with someone but want more information because SIBO is complex and treatment is nuanced and often needs a team approach in difficult cases
  • is for people who are frustrated with their symptoms and would like help and support and resources to get them back on track on their healing journey
  • offers education and tools that go beyond what can be covered in one appointment with Dr. Goldin

How will you benefit from the SIBO Journey Guide?

  1. the course helps you understand the flow and nuances of treatment so that you have more ideas and avenues to follow towards healing (espcially for people who are running up against obstacles and roadblocks to their healing)
  2. the course helps you to clarify next steps of treatment, and the stages of treatment and the flow of treatment and gives you more resources than the standard  Western medicine's 2 weeks of Xifaxin (Rifaximan) and "see ya later" which only works 1/3 of the time
  3. you will have a clearer plan on what to do to heal and treat this complex condition that has a higher probability of success
  4. you will have more information so you can find relief to your symptoms.

About Dr. Tara Skye Goldin

Tara Skye Goldin is a Registered Naturopathic Doctor in the State of Colorado and is Board Certified in Naturopathic Gastroenterology. She is an expert in functional and naturopathic medicine with an emphasis on SIBO,IBS, Digestive Health and hormonal balancing.

Dr. Goldin understands what your life is like with SIBO because her own life has been steeped in gut health issues. She was born to be an expert in gut health and nutrition, not by choice, but by necessity.  When she was young, she was smaller and shorter than her friends and was always sick with gut issues, IBS, stomach aches, poor endurance,  fatigue, and brain fog.  As a child, she was often fighting a cold, flu, or tonsillitis.

By the time Tara hit puberty, she had taken multiple doses of antibiotics several times per year as prescribed by her family doctor who didn't understand how to help her.

Due to the constant barrage of antibiotics on my poor intestines, she often had stomach aches and either constipation or diarrhea.  She had a weak appetite and only wanted to eat sugar and junk food.  Later, she didn’t even want that anymore. She was withering away! She looked emaciated.

in 1995 she discovered that she had many food allergies and leaky gut issues.  Eventually she realized she had high susceptibility to celiac disease.   As a result, she experimented with many diets: vegetarian and vegan (20 years!). She added animal protein back into her diet in 1995 and added even more during pregnancy and lactation.  She finally took a food allergy test and eliminated the offending foods plus gluten and saw a significant improvement in her health.

It was at that time that she decided to make this her life purpose...helping other people suffering from the same.  Tara graduated from a Naturopathic medical school, Bastyr University, where she learned about nutrition, supplements, and herbal medicine along with the science that people learn in a traditional medical school. After graduating, she began seeing patients and noticed that she seemed to have a knack for helping the patients who were suffering from autoimmune and inflammation issues.

"Today I can say that I have a lot of experience in my personal life navigating trying to explain to my family what I am doing to heal myself dietarily as well as going through the emotional issues that naturally surround making lifestyle and diet changes. I have experienced ALL of them at one time or another so I come to you with both experience as a clinician helping people transition to a more healthful food plan for themselves as well as my own journey to more vibrant health." - Dr. Tara Skye Goldin
